like Bush got some 'splainin' ta do cuz China ain't none too happy.
Considering the extent they have a grip on our economy, this could have
far-reaching implications. I do appreciate any support for Tibetan Autonomy
and any attention to their plight at the cruel hands of intolerant on the
world stage. Yet, considering the tensions that are threatening global
stability, causing a stir is, perhaps, unwise at this juncture. Still, I
support a free Tibet, or at least an autonomous one.

Environmental News Alert
Change Comes to the Northlands
The direct impact of climate change is very real to the good People of the
Snows. As their Homes, Towns and Way of Life melt into the past, the pain
and anxiety they face is daunting. Check out this great story, courtesy Mother Jones.Julia Whitty and Robert Knoth Reportage by Getty Images September/October 2007 Issue
Get used to it: real estate falling into the sea. And not just beach houses and seaside time-shares. Think towns and cities. These images of Shishmaref village on Alaska's remote west coast reveal the tip of a terrain melting so fast it will carry whole cultures away with it—rich and poor, polluters and nonpolluters, all vulnerable to the great leveler, the ocean. You think South Pacific island nations and remote Arctic outposts will be the only victims? Wrong. Because no matter what we do on the carbon emissions front in the coming decades, the world ocean is forecast to warm and rise for the next millennium or more. Pictures like these will soon be commonplace
In Shishmaref, calamity has already arrived. The village of 600 Inupiaq lies on the fragile barrier island of Sarichef, where sea ice forms later each year, exposing the land to autumn storms that carve away 50 feet or more of shoreline a season. Two houses have slipped into the sea; 18 others have been moved back from the encroaching ocean; others buckle from the melting permafrost.
Ten million dollars has been spent on seawalls, to no avail. Residents have concluded permanent resettlement is their only option. But considering America has yet to seriously tackle New Orleans' sea-level problems, no one on this distant edge of the Chukchi Sea imagines the $180 million needed to relocate Shishmaref will be easy to come by. And Shishmaref is not alone. A 2004 Government Accountability Office report found that of Alaska's 213 Native villages, 184 are battling floods and erosion, while another assessment foresees that in the coming decades, Alaska will require $6.1 billion to repair global warming's domino effect of fallen bridges, burst sewer pipes, and disintegrating roads. Worldwide, the situation is more dire, more expensive: Oxfam suggests the United States owes $22 billion, or 44 percent—our polluting share—of the $50 billion needed each year for poor nations to adapt to climate change.

Breaking News Pelosi Draws a Line in the Sand(box)...
Speaker Pelosi has "come out swinging" against allegations that Congress is "kissing up" to GWB & Co. No one really thinks that, do they? I mean, what would give you that idea? Obviously the Madam Speaker is using this opportunity to spin, I, er, I mean clarify her position on the whole Iran thing. Courtesy Reuters via Raw Story.
Pelosi: Bush "must come to Congress" before attacking Iran David Edwards and Greg Wasserstrom
Published: Sunday October 14, 2007
In an interview on ABC's This Week, Speaker Pelosi tells George Stephanopoulos that President Bush must get the approval of Congress before proceeding with an attack on Iran. Just this week, the Senate passed a non-binding resolution designating Iran's Republican Guard as a terrorist organization in a move many observers fear will give President Bush the authority he needs to attack Iran. Pelosi disagrees, and doesn't plan on bringing up such a measure in the house. "We don't believe that any of the authority the President has would allow him to go in without an act of Congress," she said, adding that the War Powers Act of the 1970s gives any president the power to retaliate against a country that has attacked the US. "But short of that," Pelosi said, "he must come to the Congress." When asked about the Senate vote, Pelosi noted that it is unprecendented to declare a piece of another country's military a terrorist organization. She said, "Whatever Iran's impact is on our troops in Iraq should be dealt with in Iraq."

The Day of the Living Nightmare
Yet another Retired General has a bad report on Iraq. This time it was Gen. Sanchez, former commander of all forces in theater. The man is a decorated hero and career soldier, even if he was tainted by the Abu Ghraib prison scandal earning him the nickname "Dirty" Sanchez. More, courtesy of AP via The Drudge Report.
Oct 13, 7:48 AM (ET)
By STEVEN KOMAROW ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) -
The U.S. mission in Iraq is a "nightmare with no end in sight" because of political misjudgments after the fall of Saddam Hussein that continue today, a former chief of U.S.-led forces said Friday. Retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, who commanded coalition troops for a year beginning June 2003, cast a wide net of blame for both political and military shortcomings in Iraq that helped open the way for the insurgency - such as disbanding the Saddam-era military and failing to cement ties with tribal leaders and quickly establish civilian government after Saddam was toppled.
He called current strategies - including the deployment of 30,000 additional forces earlier this year - a "desperate attempt" to make up for years of misguided policies in Iraq.
"There is no question that America is living a nightmare with no end in sight," Sanchez told a group of journalists covering military affairs.

Friday October 12, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Music Loops - Royalty Free Music - Flash Loops - Guitar Loops - Hip-Hop Loops - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. Yo music people. Russell come at you. I've been working pretty heavily on the website. It seems that over the years people have been downloading our samples from the royalty-free music collections and using them. I added a tag to all of our samples that says "Inner Rhythm Studios" in a whisper, so no more stealing our samples people!! Anyway, this is a long and tedious process because I have to resample each file and add the new audio to it. I'm almost done, though. By the way, it looks like Inner Rhythm Studios is going to have one of it's favorite sons back in the mix. Ely Reis's music will be back on our site hopefully next week. We are also introducing 3 - 4 new royalty-free music libraries of his as well. I look forward to checking out his new material. Thats it! Check out the sound clip from our show last Saturday. We were drunk by the time we played this song, so whatever!! ;-)

The Right Reverend Rubberized Homo-Hypocrite
Folks, I'd like to take a little time to relate a very sad, sad story. If you are a regular reader of The MUFF Report, you know that I am both a deeply spiritual person, yet sharply critical of all organized religions. Christianity is as valid a path to enlightenment and salvation as any other at it's core. Jesus' teachings, stripped of Pauline smegma and myopic, intolerant, apocalyptic dogma, point the way to a spiritual life where the needs of the poor and underprivileged are more important than what people do in the bedroom or who they do it with. Forgiveness and "judging not" are keystones in the foundation of His Gospel. Love, long suffering and nonviolent, is His Law. Jesus spoke against hypocrites, not homosexuals, which leads us to the sad, sad story of one of Reverend Jerry Falwell's top pastors in the Moral Majority that I am obliged to share, courtesy of The Smoking Gun.
OCTOBER 8--An Alabama minister who died in June of "accidental mechanical asphyxia" was found hogtied and wearing two complete wet suits, including a face mask, diving gloves and slippers, rubberized underwear, and a head mask, according to an autopsy report. Investigators determined that Rev. Gary Aldridge's death was not caused by foul play and that the 51-year-old pastor of Montgomery's Thorington Road Baptist Church was alone in his home at the time he died (while apparently in the midst of some autoerotic undertaking).
Aldridge served as the church's pastor for 16 years. Immediately following his death, church officials issued a press release asking community members to "please refrain from speculation" about what led to Aldridge's demise, adding that, "we will begin the healing process under the strong arm of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
"While the Montgomery Advertiser, which first obtained the autopsy records, reported on Aldridge's two wet suits, the family newspaper chose not to mention what police discovered inside the minister's rubber briefs. Well, if you have the stomach, link here for the rest of the story. The thing that I don't get is, how did he hogtie himself? Plus his rubberized homoerotic fetish gear (which would seem difficult to suit up alone) and ass-packer are illegal (to buy) in Alabama! Some one should check on Rev. Haggard to make sure he wasn't down in Bama...

Whats up all you people? I just wanted to blog about our show last night. Well, we really needed that vibe! It was great to see everyone and share all of that fun with the crowd. I love that feeling of connecting with everyone. I kind of felt sorry for Chris Marsh, our bass player. Chris currently has a hernia and had to sit in a chair all night and play his bass. All the guys pitched in to move his equipment for him as well. Chris has a surgery scheduled sometime this month. Hopefully in a few months he will be back to his old rocking self and be able to move around again like he used to. We seem to keep growing and that's a good thing. Check out this new idea for a cover song:

Dollar Dives Down, Down...
Our beloved dollar is sinking in value against other foreign currencies, AP reports. Here are some excerpts from the story...
NEW YORK (AP) — The dollar hit a new low against the seemingly unstoppable euro Friday as the 13-nation currency broke through $1.41.
The currency of the 13 euro nations, which have more than 317 million residents and account for more than 15 percent of global gross domestic product, surged as high as $1.4119 before falling back to $1.4083 by late afternoon, above the $1.4076 it bought in New York on Thursday.
The U.S. dollar fell further against the Canadian dollar after reaching parity for the first time since 1976 on Thursday. One Canadian dollar bought $1.0068 in U.S. currency at its highest point Friday before edging down to 99.95 U.S. cents in late New York trading, barely beating 99.93 U.S. cents late Thursday.
The American currency weakened sharply this week on the back of a decision by the U.S. Federal Reserve to cut its benchmark rate by a bigger-than-expected half point to 4.75 percent. The central bank was responding to market turbulence in the U.S. and elsewhere in the fallout from the subprime mortgage crisis.
As I've said for some time:
"Recent rapid home equity increases
in the USA will eventually self-correct,
(due to the global market pressures of
our trade deficits, war spending,
tax cuts for the rich, no-bid contracts, corruption etc.),
by dramatically depreciating in value, coupled with big interest rate increases and inflation of consumer goods and services."
Or put another way, way back in Feb. 2005, courtesy
The Left Coaster:
We've found ourselves in a vicious circle:
- The value of the dollar falls, which means oil exporters increase the price in dollars so they still get the same value. We keep buying the oil regardless and send even more dollars overseas, which increases the trade imbalance and drives the value of the dollar down further. Lather, rise, repeat.
- As the dollar drops, foreign central banks don't want to be the last ones holding dollars (like South Korea), so they reduce their dollar holdings. Demand for the dollar drops, so the dollar falls, putting more pressure on foreign central banks to dump their losing investment in America. Lather, rise, repeat.
- As the dollar drops, inflation and interest rates increase, reducing Americans' buying power and consumption, stalling the American economy. A weaker economy increases the federal budget deficit, increasing the need for foreign buyers of U.S. treasury bonds, which raises interest rates and decreases the value of the dollar. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Trouble, trouble, boil and housing bubble... just wait until the interest rates double! In anticipation of currency depreciation, Big Biz uses inflation to ensure their own cash creation, pimpin' Lexus cars, takin' private jets to fabulous vacation spots so hot they got-a-lot, Empire built on pretense, it defies common sense that we let them do this, at our expense... Word up, Meshers OUT!!!

Go, Go Greenspan!!!
Former Head Fed Alan Greenspan has dropped a bomb upon the Repugna-cant Party in his new book,
The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World.
The lifelong conservative reveals his personal, if redacted opinions and recollections about former presidents he's served under, the Iraq War, the housing bubble, irresponsible spending and power-mongering by the GOP-led congress leading to, in his own opinion, a deserved ouster last November, and an admission that the real motive in going to war was control of the Iraqi oil supply, just to point out a few highlights.
He has since tried to distance himself from an outright accusation of Bush's complicity, but does not reverse his opinion, and has decried as "unfair" liberal bloggers using his words to support the contention that GWB and Co. lied about the reasons for the invasion.
He also warns of a future shift from dollars to euros as the "reserve currency of choice." A devaluation of American currency of this magnitude would cripple the nation, resulting in a breakdown of the basic services that we, as a society, have come to rely on. His predictions are dire and the solutions are not simple.
The rats are jumping ship again, it would seem. Why this guy would wait to tell us this relevant information until after he stepped down seems disingenuous at best. Oh well, at least they cut the prime rate so we can go deeper in debt!!! Meshers OUT!!!

Breaking News
Vag-i-terian Rice and Bean Butt-rito with Hypocrite Sauce!
Wow, the depth of hypocrisy within the Repugna-can Party is reaching new lows. Case in point, take Ms.Condi Rice. Two articles I just read on RawStory.com elucidate the stark divide...
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice co-owned a home and shared a line of credit with another woman, according to Washington Post diplomatic correspondent Glenn Kessler, who reveals the information in his new book, The Confidante: Condoleezza Rice and the Creation of the Bush Legacy. Kessler discussed the revelations with talk-show host and gay author Michaelangelo Signorile Friday on his Sirius Radio show. According to the book, Rice owns a home together with Ms. Randy Bean, a documentary filmmaker who once worked with Bill Moyers. Kessler made the discovery by looking through real estate records. Bean explained the joint ownership and line of credit to Kessler by saying she had medical bills which left her financially drained and Rice helped her by co-purchasing the house along with a third person, Coit Blacker, a Stanford professor who is openly gay. Blacker later sold his line of credit to Rice and Bean.
When asked about the revelations on Signorile's show, Kessler "said he did not know if this meant there was something more to the relationship between the woman beyond a friendship." Rice faced attacks from liberals in the gay community over the State Department's reluctance to rebuke Iran for the hanging of gay teenagers. The gay rights lobby Human Rights Campaign called on Rice in 2005 to condemn Iran's human rights abuses after the hanging of two gay teenagers, and to express indignation over "other horrific human rights abuses against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people across the globe." Rice did not. Signorile excerpted a brief quote from Kessler's book on his blog. "After she became secretary of state, she came to a party at Blacker's house, kicked off her shoes, and began dancing through the night to rock and and roll," Kessler wrote. "Blacker, who is gay, wanted to show his partner how tight her behind is; he postulated that if he aimed a quarter at her butt, it would bounce off like a rocket. He was right. Rice, who was dancing, didn't realize what he had done until everyone began laughing hysterically. She was flattered -- and proud."
Secretary Rice has typified the juxtaposition that many Republicans have between their public and private lives," Hudson said. "Privately, she is very supportive of gays. "Condoleeza Rice may or may not be gay but she is in a relationship which legitimately raises these kinds of questions. Before he took office, the president and first lady had close relationships with a number of gay men, including Charles Francis, whose brother managed Bush's reelection campaign for Texas governor."
Now contrast this article with the previous one, and you will see the horrific double standard perpetrated by the Religious Reich-Wing.... WASHINGTON (AFP) - Religious freedom conditions have worsened in insurgency-wracked Iraq as well as Egypt, while communist China has embarked on a crackdown on foreign missionaries ahead of the Olympics, the US government warned in a report Friday. The State Department's annual report on religious freedoms around the world also noted "continued deterioration of the extremely poor status of respect for religious freedom" in Iran and highlighted "serious problems" in Pakistan. Religious freedom is "integral to our efforts to combat the ideology of hatred and religious intolerance that fuels global terrorism," said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as she launched the 800-page report in Washington.
"Many individuals from various religious groups were targeted because of their religious identity or their secular leanings," it said of the situation in Iraq where US troops are facing an uphill battle to restore order.
In Egypt, a key US ally, respect for religious freedom has "declined," the report said, citing particularly a court ruling this year that reinstated a policy not to provide a legal means for converts from Islam to Christianity to amend their civil records.
The report also highlighted religious repression in China, which reportedly expelled more than 100 foreign missionaries in the spring of 2007 in what some groups alleged was a "government-initiated" campaign to tighten control on Christian house churches ahead of the Olympics next year. The "Report on International Religious Freedom," transmitted to Congress Friday, is a precursor to the announcement each year of a blacklist of countries "of particular concern" that are subject to US sanctions for religious repression. Iran headed last year's list alongside China, Eritrea, Myanmar, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Uzbekistan. So in closing, the hypocrisy reeks to hell and these two-faced, closeted creeps pander to the "vote values" crowd while indulging in the very vices they legislate against. You know, one of these days I hope every one of these cock-suckers get caught! Meshers OUT!!!

8.4 Mag Quake Hits Sumatra
This is the fourth big quake these guys have had since 2000. The Pacific Rim is moving, and we here in the S.F. Bay area must take note. The possibility of a major quake either here or in L.A. is almost a certainty in our lives, and definitely in 100 years. Courtesy Breitbart.com
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - A powerful earthquake shook Indonesia on Wednesday, killing seven people, injuring 100 and triggering a small tsunami that hit one city on the island of Sumatra, authorities said. Tsunami warnings were issued for much of the Indian Ocean region The 8.4-magnitude quake off Sumatra badly damaged buildings along the coast and could be felt in at least four countries, with tall buildings swaying as far as 1,200 miles away. It was followed by a series of aftershocks, the strongest of which registered at a magnitude of 6.6 and triggered a second tsunami alert for Indonesia, which was lifted about an hour later, said Suhardjono, an official with Indonesia's meteorological agency, who goes by only one name. At least seven people were killed in three Sumatran towns, Social Affairs Department official Felix Valentino told the news portal detik.com. Phone lines and electricity also were cut. Most of the damage appeared to be from the quake.
A wave of up to 9 feet was reported to have struck the city of Padang about 20 minutes after the initial quake, Suhardjono said.
The earth is moving and changing. Take care to be prepared for what may come your way.

Breaking News
9/11, Six Years Later
Where are we as a nation six years after the tragedy of that fateful September day? Are our ports and borders more secure? Have we forged alliances and maintained the good-will of the people of the world? Have we done anything to divest from middle-eastern oil or develop new strategies and technology to deliver clean, domestically produced energy and transportation? Has anyone seen Bin Laden, other than in these periodic prerecorded appearances? Has there been any serious, independent inquiry into what really happened that day? The answer is NO. No, no, no...oh no, wouldn't be prudent at this junc-ture. Wake up America!
Massive Ice Sheet Melting at Unprecedented Rate
This article at ABC.com tells me that something
big is about to go down...
"An area of Arctic sea ice the size of Florida has melted away in just the last six days as melting at the top of the planet continues at a record rate.
2007 has already broken the record for the lowest amount of sea ice ever recorded, say scientists, smashing the old record set in 2005.
"
This is baaad news the way I
see it.

Sunday September 02, 2007 Good morning everyone. I awoke this morning with my subconcious mind still reverberating in my head. The Great Spirit always communicating in dreams. I wanted to share this version of the song "Celebrate" with you. I posted it a couple of days ago, but I took the best part of it and posted it here. It's really amazing to me how the 4 of us can merge musically in a song that we have never played together as a band. I want to thank all of the guys for giving me the space to be my strange self. I also want to thank them for having the courage to be themselves and be honest. Honesty is so rare these days. We are lucky to have this brotherhood of music. Thank you guys. I love you all - Chris, Carl, and Laird.

US Mercenary Force in Iraq at All-Time High
Well, if this doesn't bring your tin foil hat out of retirement, then you've recycled it...Thanks to RawStory, again. "The United States has set a new precedent in its reliance on private contractors to perform dangerous military duties in Iraq, reports the Washington Post in its Monday edition. Writes the Congressional Research Service in a recent report: "Iraq appears to be the first case where the U.S. government has used private contractors extensively for protecting persons and property in potentially hostile or hostile situations where host country security forces are absent or deficient." Of these contractors said to perform "functions once carried by the U.S. military," recently gauged at 127,000, less than 20 percent were Americans. The entire article can be read HERE.

What can a person do to make difference? The US meat industry causes more greenhouse emissions than all the cars in the world combined! More fuel-efficient vehicles and alternative means of transportation exist, so that's a way to go. Recycling and reducing waste, buying goods and services from the local area and vote for change!!!! US to use spy satellites on Americans
"I am the Eye in the Sky, looking at you, I can read your mind." This has to be Big Brother at his worst, excerpts courtesy of The Washington Post...
By Joby Warrick
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, August 16, 2007
The Bush administration has approved a plan to expand domestic access to some of the most powerful tools of 21st-century spycraft, giving law enforcement officials and others the ability to view data obtained from satellite and aircraft sensors that can see through cloud cover and even penetrate buildings and underground bunkers.
Although the federal government has long permitted the use of spy-satellite imagery for certain scientific functions -- such as creating topographic maps or monitoring volcanic activity -- the administration's decision would provide domestic authorities with unprecedented access to high-resolution, real-time satellite photos.
They could also have access to much more. A statement issued yesterday by the Department of Homeland Security said that officials envision "more robust access" not only to imagery but also to "the collection, analysis and production skills and capabilities of the intelligence community."
The beneficiaries may include "federal, state, local and tribal elements" involved in emergency preparedness and response or "enforcement of criminal and civil laws." The "tribal" reference was to Native Americans who conduct semiautonomous law enforcement operations on reservations.
Under the new program, the DHS will create a subordinate agency to be known as the National Applications Office. The new office, which has gained the backing of congressional intelligence and appropriations committees, is responsible for coordinating requests for access to intelligence by civilian agencies. Previously, an agency known as the Civilian Applications Committee facilitated access to satellite imagery for geologic study. Oversight of the department's use of the overhead imagery data would come from officials in the Department of Homeland Security and from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and would consist of reviews by agency inspectors general, lawyers and privacy officers. "We can give total assurance" that Americans' civil liberties will be protected, Allen said. "Americans shouldn't have any concerns about it."
But civil liberties groups quickly condemned the move, which Kate Martin, director of the Center for National Security Studies, a nonprofit activist group, likened to "Big Brother in the sky." "They want to turn these enormous spy capabilities, built to be used against overseas enemies, onto Americans," Martin said. "They are laying the bricks one at a time for a police state." Steven Aftergood, director of the Project on Government Secrecy for the Federation of American Scientists, said that the data could be useful but that oversight for the program was woefully inadequate. Enhanced access "shouldn't be adopted at all costs because it comes with risk to privacy and to the integrity of our political institutions," he said.
Hmmm... I wonder if anyone would abuse the power of the all-seeing eye? Surely not.

Karl Rove Resigns
This just in, courtesy Raw Story:
Karl Rove will resign from his position in the Bush Administration and return to Texas Aug. 31, according to an interview published Monday with Paul Gigot, editorial page editor for The Wall Street Journal. When asked by Gigot whether he's leaving "to avoid Congressional scrutiny?" he said, "I know they'll say that. But I'm not going to stay or leave based on whether it pleases the mob." Mr. Rove, who has held a senior post in the White House since President Bush took office in January 2001, told Mr. Gigot he first floated the idea of leaving a year ago. But he delayed his departure as, first, Democrats took Congress, and then as the White House tackled debates on immigration and Iraq, he said. He said he decided to leave after White House Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten told senior aides that if they stayed past Labor Day they would be obliged to remain through the end of the president's term in January 2009. I'm sure he's merely going to "spend more time with the family" or some shit.... Here is a guy who would hate to be frog-marched before Congress in chains. Could he be heading over to Fred Thompson's place for a "chat"?

Return of the Unnamed Band
As you may or may not know, Greg is no longer in the band. It's a sad, sad day since you been gone.... oh well, people got to do their own thing I wish him luck in all things Greckley. See you down the road sometime, dude.
So we now have no name. 1320 was only for the NHRA show/debacle, and Inner Rhythm is not going to happen (the website is using that nom de plume), so let's have a contest to name our rocking all-new project. Please chime in and email me at meshers23@yahoo.com and share your ideas for a cool band name. On August 15, I will post a poll and let the people speak. The winner will receive an IRStudios production bundle of their choice, so let me know what you think.

7.5 Quake Rocks Indonesia
Could secret, deep-earth tomographic imaging technology used to locate petroleum deposits be triggering earthquakes? Or could oil lubricate portions of the crust and lessen earthquake intensity? It seems like anything is possible. Conspiracy Snausage fer sure! From CNN..
JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- A powerful earthquake shook buildings and caused panic on the densely-populated Indonesian island of Java, but there have been no reports of injuries and no tsunami alert. The quake, measured at magnitude 7.5 by the U.S. Geological Survey, struck shortly after midnight in a part of the sea dotted with oil rig platforms, Financial Times journalist John Aglionby told CNN International. According to CNN's Kathy Quiano, the shaking caused many in the capital to flee their homes. "We felt the earthquake in Jakarta, it was pretty strong and went on for at least a minute." "It was pretty strong and scary," Quiano said. "People are shaken, that's for certain." And Aglionby said there were still concerns for the many oil rigs exploiting the resource rich waters off the north coast of Java.

Beltway Betrayal
Democrats, bowing to pressure from the White House, passed legislation to give the
Prez expanded spying powers late yesterday. The move created a stir with the ACLU and other groups who support constitutional freedoms over fear of terrorism. It seems the spinelessness continues in spite of the double majority in Congress, and the polls showing a real dissatisfaction with our collective direction. We can defeat violent radicals with our dignity and liberty intact. Fortunately, this is a temporary measure, so let's hope we regain a firm grip on the reins of our great nation as soon as possible. Incompetence Reigns Supreme
You know, it really is a sign of the times when foolish, incompetent assholes control the government of the most powerful nation on Earth. Although I only advocate continued employment of competent government officials, I do not support a revisionist policy which disrupts the function of essential social and defense related programs. Everyone completes everyone else, or at least we bring each other into context within the relativistic scenario we find ourselves in. The fact of the matter rests on the foundations of wisdom enshrined in the heart of compassion. Enough rambling on and on, lets sharpen the barb, if you will. These stories have reared their ugly heads and now, here they are for your perusal...
Incompetence exhibit #1: Alberto Gonzales lying under oath.
Incompetence exhibit #2: Minneapolis Bridge Disaster was preventable.
Incompetence exhibit #3: Katrina aftermath is still a disgrace.
Incompetence exhibit #4: War in Iraq now seen to reach $1 trillion dollars!
Incompetence exhibit #5: Global Warming science politicized.

Band Biz
Post-Traumatic Show Disorder
Good Morning fellow MUFF Divers. I have a strange story to share. Here goes...
Once upon a time in the land of NorCal, a Great Race was held. Racers from all around the realm came to compete for the Great Prize, yea they were driven... as it were. Anyway, the race was a three day event, and the second night at the campgrounds had always been a celebration of life and the living of it on the edge, rife with revelry and song. For the last seven years, a band of minstrels had came to entertain the flock of racing fans who faithfully came to support the Great Race year after year, after year. Though the band had tried everything to maintain it's equilibrium, it's cohesion gave way to chaos. Personal problems and apathy set in. It seemed no one could help Greckels and Karhole, the remnant of this once proud band of minstrels. Then one day, as luck would have it a grand minstrel came on the scene. Due to the lack of demand for full time musicians, these sad saps worked at a local car dealership. So anyway, this guy known throughout the realm as The Brewman worked there and ended up playing his mighty git-fiddle with the merry minstrels and it was good. A few weeks later, the holder of the Sacred Bass Space was unable to perform for the full length of a practice session. Brewman, in his uncanny wisdom called forth, yea summoned the Mahameshers, Bass God of Space. So the Ancient Team wove their magic into a web so integral, the band of gay blades er, um... I mean Merry Minstrels felt that if only the Mahameshers would join them, then The Great Race would be that truly fulfilling celebration once again. Shortly after Mahameshers supplanted that other guy, the band was learning and practicing the songs with a spirit and accuracy unknown to them before. Then one day, the Greckels dropped a bomb on the scene. He had a personal issue arise and no longer could croon his tunes with these crazy bastards any more. Though saddened(hunh?) by their loss, the band continued to practice on and on and on(like Chris Marsh). The Three attained a cohesive synergy unmatched in all the realm, yet something was missing. One day an odd fellow called Friar Lairdwick met the Brewman by chance, and their mutual love of the aforementioned git-fiddle soon became obvious to them both. Lairdwick soon brought his Mystic Midi Git-Fiddle to the band's studio and, after a protracted duel with the Big Bri-guy, (a talented minstrel who'd once played with Greckels and Karhole, and also vied for the position) began to play with these crazy bastards. Soon they were playing at a local pub on a regular basis where the people loved them and danced late into the night. As the Great Race neared, Greckels suddenly, somehow achieved a reprieve and rejoined the band. The day of the Great Race arrived. Lord Marcos of Nitro and his minions set the stage and then the band of five began to play. Slowly at first, the magic swirled through the air. People started to gather around the stage and dancing and revelry ensued. But then, some knucklehead started a small brawl which brought the police. After an impassioned plea from one of the Racers, a stay of execution was granted and the band began to play again. The throng cheered and screamed as one. Still the violence erupted again and this time, the show was over. A fair maiden had an eye for the Brewman and whisked him away to the safety of her loins. The rest of the band returned to their homes except for the Mahameshers, who sat there under the stars and meditated on the emptiness of phenomena and upon attaining a subtle enlightenment, imprinted the account you read now into the akashic record for all time. He foresaw the band was entering a new phase of evolution, and that is a legend that has yet to be written.

This is a crop circle with a 197 ft. diameter discovered by a pilot on July 02, 2007 in Switzerland. A Swiss govt. expert contends it is not a fake, as it's size and geometric precision alone is impossible to duplicate with any of the known methods of faux-crop circle creation. Apparently the circular paradox appeared over night. A very strange thing, indeed. Maybe someone's trying to tell us something.... Peace!!!

Hello everyone. Well, it's Monday July 30. We jammed the Infineon gig Saturday night. The show was really over the top. We had the crowd eating from the palm of our hands. There were so many people. It was out of control really. In the end, the cops shut us down early because the crowd grew too large to manage and fights were breaking out. What is the deal with that? Can't all of these people get along? I guess when you mix alcohol and massive amounts of people, you get a mob. Next gig we have like that, we are going to need some serious crowd control. It was scary.
Anyway, I have a couple of comments that I would like to make about the
performance of our sound guy. I don't know his name. I guess this was Greg's hook up. After listening to the first set mix, which by the way was what the crowd heard because I recorded it with a direct line coming out of his mixer, It seems the guy
didn't know how to boost the solos. The crowd never really heard Laird's or my
solos. Don't really know what that is all about, but anyway....This 'sound guy' also cut the power at the end of the night and destroyed the majority of our digital recordings. That really sucks because we had some awesome moments. Also, one of the 3 video cameras failed to record anything. I haven't viewed the footage from the other two cameras, so I'm not sure what they have on them. Hopefully we can salvage some documentation from this gig. All-in-all, it was awesome to play for that many people, but it was very disappointing because we lost most of our digital audio of the show. My only
consolation was the fact that I finally 'broke the curse' later that night with this little hottie that I met. The guys in the band know what I mean.....
Well, here are the only audio recordings that we were able to salvage
so far. This is the first set so unfortunately, the crowd was small at this point. It was later in the night that we raged. I wish we had that on audio, but Oh well....

Greetings everyone. Well, here we are just a day away from our biggest jam of the summer. Tomorrow we will be jamming for the masses. It's going to be fully documented. Laird has 3 video cameras that are going to shoot the show. My Roland 880ex will record the audio out of the sound guy's mixer. We will get a high quality audio file plus tons of footage from 3 cameras. This is going to be a fun exploration into digital video editing for me. I'm looking forward to playing with all of the video footage on my computer. When we get everything dialed, I will post the video on our blog for everyone to download and watch on their computer. I'll be camping out at the raceway on Saturday night, so I'm also bringing all of my camping gear and my large cooler that will have lots and lots of beer. It's going to be one hell of a party!!
O.k. Here are the jams from last Saturday nights show. I gotta tell ya, I was
disappointed in the recordings because once again, our main AKG C3000 microphone failed to record. This is our main fidelity mic. The recordings sound really shitty, but if you want to check them out, I went ahead and did the best I could with the mixes. Here they are:

Gonzo à go-go
This just in, courtesy RawStory... "Four Senate Democrats called on the Justice Department's Solicitor General to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate whether or not Attorney General Alberto Gonzales committed perjury in Congressional testimony on the Bush administration's domestic spying program.
Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) harshly criticized the Attorney General in the Thursday Capitol Hill press conference. "His inability to answer simple and straight forward questions was just stunning," Schumer said. "His instinct is not to tell the truth, but to dissemble and deceive." Well, the truth has a way of making itself known. When the nation's top prosecutor is the target of an investigation, who will prosecute him? Sounds like a special prosecutor is in order. If Pat Fitzgerald is too liberal for you, then how about Bob Barr? Check out the full article here.
And Turd Blossom, Too?
Wow, looks like The Brain is getting some well deserved heat in the seat. Again RawStory to the rescue... " Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy announced Thursday he had subpoenaed White House adviser Karl Rove and his deputy accusing them of stonewalling a widening probe into the firing of federal prosecutors. "The Bush-Cheney White House continues to place great strains on our constitutional system of checks and balances," Leahy said in issuing the subpoenas. "Not since the darkest days of the Nixon Administration have we seen efforts to corrupt federal law enforcement for partisan political gain and such efforts to avoid accountability.". "We have now reached a point where the accumulated evidence shows that political considerations factored into the unprecedented firing of at least nine United States Attorneys last year," Leahy said, according to The Associated Press." The Heat is on, so gets to cookin'!!! Inherent Contempt of Congress allows for a simple solution to these complex issues so please call or email your Representatives in DC.

Gonznocchio Gonzo was at it again, testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, either lying through his teeth or obfuscating at every turn. Today's spectacle seems to me a classic bait and switch if you will. It's as if Karl Rove is the puppetmaster and Gonzo is Pinocchio or as we sardonic bastards are apt to say, Gonznocchio. Yes , go after the puppet, ignore the puppeteers. Even Republican Arlen Specter railed on the administration and him, personally. He more than deserved it and should be removed from office. Call, email or otherwise contact your Congressperson and both Senators ASAP!
Judicial Jeopardy
This just in, courtesy RawStory... "Capitol Hill's leading daily seems to have it in for Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Today's headline from yesterday's hearings? Gonzales Digs Deeper Hole. After finishing up his latest round of testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Gonzales may have more than his credibility to lose. Wednesday's (paid-restricted) Roll Call reports the AG "may have put himself in legal jeopardy" as senators from both parties cast doubt on the veracity of his testimony. Republican Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) put it bluntly: "I do not find your testimony credible." He reminded Gonzales that the entire committee would review his testimony, in an apparent threat of legal consequences for lying to Congress." Read the full article here.
He seems young to be using the old Reagan Defense: "I don't recall, uh that is, exactly, uh..." but then again, considering the stellar record of Bush's cabinet appointees... Well, thats a wrap, I'm OUT!!!

"Steam Pipe" blast triggers panic in NYC
Courtesy RawStory: A steam pipeline exploded in Manhattan on Wednesday in a shower of hot vapour, mud and rock, sparking panic among evening rush hour commuters and rekindling memories of the September 11 attacks among jittery New Yorkers. The explosion, which left a crater in the middle of the street, sent clouds of steam, mud and rocks several stories into the air and left buildings in the area shaking while a lingering rumble could be heard several blocks away.
Although police were quick to say there was nothing to indicate the explosion near Grand Central station was terrorist related, for some New Yorkers, the incident immediately revived memories of the September 11 attacks of 2001. "Everything shook, there was a big explosion," said Lilian Crespo, 33. "It was horrible." "I heard a huge vibration and we were evacuated from the building, everybody was panicking," added another witness, Henry Galarza. Several blocks of Lexington Avenue outside Grand Central Terminal near the iconic art deco Chrysler building remained shut off into the evening. The explosion occurred just before 6:00 pm (2200 GMT) and sent crowds of people heading north from the area,
many of them running. Some had their shoes come off because they were running so fast. A spokesman for electrical supplier
Con Edison said the company was testing the air for asbestos as a precaution.
Well, I'm guessing the air is at least as safe as after 9/11. Oh yeah, that didn't work out so well, huh? Update: They did find asbestos, but say it poses no threat.... Go see Sicko. It will open your eyes to a very real problem we face as a society. Pretty sad that our infrastructure, health care and education are so neglected while we waste money on so many other stupid, violent things. Peace!

The Natives are Restless
Well, it seems as if the vox populi is in effect right here in Cal-i-for-ni-a. Here is another great article from RawStory.
A group of progressive and Democratic activists in California will be using the July 4 holiday to inaugurate a nerve center that will work to bring more Congress members around to supporting the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. The Impeachment Center's opening comes as one House Democrat took aim at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's statement that impeachment remained 'off the table.
Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles, members of local Green and Progressive Democratic party organizations will be joined by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) to inaugurate an 'Impeachment Center.' The Center will serve as "a [Los Angeles] countywide resource for advancing the impeachment of George W. Bush & Richard Cheney," with "phonebanking, letterwriting and other Impeachment related resources available for distribution." The facility will be open on a weekly basis.
The launch of the Impeachment Center comes on the heels of the commutation of the sentence of convicted former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby. Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) is the latest House member to contemplate impeachment, and has taken aim at one of his party's top leader's unwillingness to consider the possibility.
Here's one top Dem who is asking hard questions, let's give it up for Chairman Conyers! Courtesy Think Progress:
Conyers to hold hearing on executive clemency
The House Judiciary
Committee, “upset after Bush’s decision to grant clemency to I. Lewis
‘Scooter’ Libby,” will hold a hearing on July 11 to examine presidential
clemency power.
From a statement issued by Conyers’s office:
In
light of Monday’s announcement by the president that he was
commuting the prison sentence for Scooter Libby, it is
imperative that Congress look into presidential authority to
grant clemency, and how such power may be abused. Taken to its
extreme, the use of such authority could completely circumvent
the law enforcement process and prevent credible efforts to
investigate wrongdoing in the executive branch.

Scooter Independence Day
Happy 231st Birthday America! We have, it seems, been liberated from all those constitutional rights our country was founded on. The Paris Hiltons and Scooter Libbys of the world are free also and apparently answer to a different set of rules than the rest of us. DoJ protocols were discarded for Scooter's sake, and the judge and prosecutor weren't even consulted. Now it looks like Darth had a say in the decision to commute his #1 guy's sentence. Quasi-executive privilege? Check this one out, courtesy RawStory.
In a White House press conference on Tuesday morning, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow appeared to suggest that Vice President Dick Cheney's views may have been considered by President George W. Bush as he deliberated on whether to commute or pardon the conviction of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.
"Everybody had an opportunity to share their views," Snow said in the Tuesday morning press conference. Snow later clouded up his statement that the Vice President had been involved in the deliberations. "I'm sure that the Vice President may have expressed an opinion," Snow said, then adding. "He may have recused himself, I honestly don't know." But Snow insisted that the commutation of Libby's sentence was not a 'personal favor' to Cheney. "The president does not look upon this as granting a favor to anyone," he asserted. "To do that is to misconstrue the nature of the deliberations." Yeah, I'm sure it was a carefully made, de-libby-erate decision considering how tough the sentence was. I'm con-vinced that no one feared what he might say if he were to do any time for his crime. The Senate should investigate this kind of thing. Let's hope so.

No More the Rule of Law
Can you believe this....a lying, traitorous scag gets his just sentence
commuted by his boss, who may be involved eyes-deep in the shit himself!!!
Recusal is the correct response to conflict-of-interest issues with government
officials in
decision-making positions. We must not allow this kind of inequity to prevail in
our Republic, lest we fall as so many would-be world conquerors have before.
Without justice, we have nothing to stand upon. Two systems of law that preys
upon the poor isn't equitable or sustainable in the long run. Many will see the
perversion of our laws and fight to ensure we never have this happen again. Vote
for change.
Peace, Meshers out!
July 03, 2007 Hello everyone. I know
it's been awhile since I've posted on our blog, but it's summer, you know? I've
been taking care of business in other aspects of life and all. Anyway, here are
the jams from last nights practice. I also included a song called, 'Makes Me
Wonder'. I think this would be a great song to cover if we can figure out how to
translate it over to cover songage.

Subpoena Party
This is all over the news, it's a big deal, and may result in some
very serious problems for the suddenly re existent executive branch.
Yoo-hoo dudes, sounds crucial.
The Senate Judiciary Committee has served Vice President Dick Cheney
and other officials in the White House and Justice Department with
subpoenas over President George W. Bush's warrantless wiretapping
programs. "Over the past 18 months, this Committee has made no fewer
than nine formal requests to the Department of Justice and to the
White House, seeking information and documents about the
authorization of and legal justification for this program. All
requests have been rebuffed. Our attempts to obtain information
through testimony of Administration witnesses have been met with a
consistent pattern of evasion and misdirection."Senator Patrick
Leahy (D-VT), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said. In
the subpoena letters, Leahy made particular reference to the Bush
administration's attempts to roll back existing oversight of the
domestic spying program conducted through the National Security
Agency. The letters were sent to the Justice Department, the Office
of the White House, the Office of the Vice President, and the
National Security Council. The recipients of the subpoenas are
called on to comply with the subpoenas by July 18.

Supreme Court hands victory to Bush on faith-based
initiatives
On a 5-4 decision, the
Supreme Court ruled that a group of taxpayers did not have standing to
sue the US government for its funding of faith-based initiatives with
federal money. The decision, Hein v. Freedom From Religion Foundation,
was written by Samuel Alito, the second Supreme Court Justice appointed
by President George W. Bush, according to the website SCOTUSBlog. In a
second 5-4 ruling, the Court ruled that schools could censor student
expression outside of school grounds. The case was prompted by Juneau,
Alaska, students who were punished after they held up a 'Bong Hits 4
Jesus' poster while attending a field trip to see the running of the
Olympic Torch, according to CNN. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the
decision. (Courtesy RawStory) What a bunch of crap. these guys don't

The Simpire Strikes Back

This
article is courtesy of The Raw Story and NYT
Imperial Privilege
"The Office of Vice President Dick Cheney told an agency
within the National Archives that for purposes of securing classified
information, the Vice President's office is not an 'entity within the
executive branch' according to a letter released Thursday by the House
Committee on Oversight and Government Reform." "Waxman noted that
Cheney's office had declared itself not affected by an executive order
amended by President George W. Bush in 2003 regarding classification and
declassification of government materials.""The Vice President's office's
refusal to comply with the executive order and the National Archives's
request prompted the National Archives to file a complaint with the
Attorney General's office. But the Justice Department has not followed
up on the Archives's request." In response, Waxman issued a
set of questions to which he requested answers by July 12. The full set
of documents from Waxman's office can be found at the
Oversight Committee's website.
Dick's Nix
The Vice President attempted to "nix"
the agency that was targeting him, Friday's New York Times reports.
"For four years, Vice President Dick Cheney has resisted routine
oversight of his office’s handling of classified information, and when
the National Archives unit that monitors classification in the executive
branch objected, the vice president’s office suggested abolishing the
oversight unit, according to documents released yesterday by a
Democratic congressman," the New York Times reports. "The
Oversight Committee has learned that over the objections of the National
Archives, you exempted the Office of the Vice President from the
presidential executive order that establishes a uniform, government-wide
system for safeguarding classified national security information," Rep.
Henry Waxman (D-CA), the Committee's chairman, wrote in a letter to
Cheney. "Your decision to exempt your office from the President's order
is problematic because it could place national security secrets at risk.
It is also hard to understand given the history of security breaches
involving officials in your office."
Excerpts from Times article: In the tradition of Washington’s
semantic dust-ups, this one might be described as a fight over what an
“entity” is. The executive order, last updated in 2003 and currently
under revision, states that it applies to any “entity within the
executive branch that comes into the possession of classified
information.” J. William Leonard, director of the oversight
office, has argued in a series of letters to Mr. Addington that the vice
president’s office is indeed such an entity. He noted that previous vice
presidents had complied with the request for data on documents
classified and declassified, and that Mr. Cheney did so in 2001 and
2002. But starting in 2003, the vice president’s office began
refusing to supply the information. In 2004, it blocked an on-site
inspection by Mr. Leonard’s office that was routinely carried out across
the government to check whether documents were being properly labeled
and safely stored.

Google pushes for 100 mpg car
NEW YORK
(CNNMoney.com) -- "Google said Tuesday it is getting in on the
development of electric vehicles, awarding $1 million in grants and
inviting applicants to bid for another $10 million in funding to develop
plug-in hybrid electric vehicles capable of getting 70 to 100 miles per
gallon. The project, called the RechargeIT initiative and run from
Google's philanthropic arm, Google.org, aims to further the development
of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles - cars or trucks that have both a
gasoline engine and advanced batteries that recharge by plugging into
the nation's electric grid. The project also aims to develop
vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, allowing cars to sell their stored
power back to the nation's electricity grid during times of peak
demand."

FBI Terror
Watch List 'Out of Control
A terrorist watch list compiled by
the FBI has apparently swelled to include more than half a million
names. Privacy and civil liberties advocates say the list is growing
uncontrollably, threatening its usefulness in the war on terror The
bureau says the number of names on its terrorist watch list is
classified. A portion of the FBI's unclassified 2008 budget request
posted to the Department of Justice Web site, however, refers to
"the entire watch list of 509,000 names," which is utilized by its
Foreign Terrorist Tracking Task Force.
"If we have 509,000 names on that
list, the watch list is virtually useless," he told ABC News.
"You'll be capturing innocent individuals with no connection to
crime or terror."
U.S. lawmakers and their spouses have
been detained because their names were on the watch list.
Reporters who have reviewed versions of the list found it included
the names of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, at the time he
was alive but in custody in Iraq; imprisoned al Qaeda plotter
Zacarias Moussaoui; and 14 of the 19 Sept. 11, 2001 hijackers, all
of whom perished in the attacks.
"There's a reason the FBI has a
'10 Most Wanted' list, right? We need to focus the government's
efforts on the greatest threats. When the watch list grows to this
level, it's useless as an anti-terror tool," Sparapani said..

yesterday! Wow! Another record day! It's so sweet to see our efforts bear fruit.
1320 got together last night to put our studio back together and discuss our
next move. There is talk of a block party in Sebastopol on July 3 or 4, maybe
both days. I don't think we will make any money, but I'm sure we will have a
party! We have practice tonight, so we will talk more about it then. I plan on
working on two songs for sure. I want to play 'What I Got' and 'Walkin on
Sunshine'. These are two songs that need work. I just finished working out again
today. I got on my treadmill and actually ran 5.2 miles! It took me 55 minutes.
I feel great! The workouts have definately helped my energy level. I'm going to
need it for all of the jams that keep presenting themselves. If our project can
stay together, there is the possibility that we may be able to play the Health
and Harmony fair next year. That is a kick-ass concert to play. We would be
playing along side seriously famous groups. Anyway, I'll have some more audio to
post hopefully tomorrow. Peace out....Russ

The
end of the plug? Scientists invent wireless device that beams
electricity through your home
This is an excerpt from
The Daily
Mail.
"In a
breakthrough that sounds like something out of Star Trek, scientists have
discovered a way of 'beaming' power into a light bulb, mobile phone or
laptop computer without wires. MIT researchers said Thursday they will soon
be able to charge a computer or cell-phone battery from across a room,
perhaps making the annoyance of wires or dead batteries a thing of the past
The team at MIT, a top US academic laboratory, has shown
their fledgling "WiTricity" technology can power a 60 watt bulb from a power
source two meters (seven feet) away
Scientists have known
for nearly two centuries that it is possible to transfer an electrical
current from one coil of wire to another without them touching..The
phenomenon, called electromagnetic induction, is used in power transformers
and electric motors around the world Rather than sending power from a
transmitter to a receiver as a conventional electromagnetic wave - the same
form of radiation as light, radio waves and microwaves - he could use the
transmitter to fill a room with a 'non-radiative' electromagnetic field. Most
objects in the room - such as people, desks and carpets - would be
unaffected by the electromagnetic field. But any objects designed to
resonate with the electromagnetic field would absorb the energy."
There is
something fishy here. Could the EM field disrupt biological processes in
an unknown way? How much would it cost to retrofit all the devices we
use everyday? Can I use it to rock? Just asking some simple questions
here...
A deal on granting legal status to
12 million illegal immigrants collapsed amid partisan rancor in the
US Senate on Thursday, dealing a sharp blow to President George W.
Bush. Republicans complained his maneuver would not allow them
enough time to offer amendments to the legislation, a key second
term priority for Bush. Democrats however accused some Republicans
of offering repeated "killer amendments" in an effort to make the
bill collapse. This bill is garbage. Pure politics, pure bulls*&#!!!
Good riddance to bad rubbish, I always say..

interesting concept. Composers can make some real money for usuage in

that. Lord knows, it's almost impossible for musicians to make a living. There
is an old joke....How do you get a musician off of your porch? - - - .....Pay

about. Making $$$ for the artist. I think Pump is just another income stream
that will payoff. We shall see. I need to get the guys to sign the contracts,

The Democratic Debate
Good morning everyone! I hope
your weekend was wonderful and exciting. I have been feeling a bit under the
weather the last couple of days, but now I’m back in the saddle again! Lots of
stuff has happened so let’s break it down. A few subtle changes are in store for
the blog’s format and content, but as always, here is the news.
The Democratic Party had a televised debate on CNN Sunday night,
hosted by Wolf Blitzer. It seemed to me that the time allotments were
disproportional in favor of top tier candidates. The whole thing was pretty
lame. No hard questions, no definitive winner, albeit Edwards was pretty
impressive, and the desperation and calculated responses made me ill.Still
I’d vote Dem just to ensure no Repugs get the Presidency in ’08.It seems big
$$$ interests are always in control
of things in DC. I hope we vote ourselves out of this mess. The stakes
are way too high to sit on one’s ass.

CIA running
black propaganda operation against Iran, Syria and Lebanon, officials say
The Raw
Story’s Larisa Alexandrovna reports that the CIA and Pentagon seem to be
conductingsome quasi-illegal actions deep in Black Ops Territory. Does
Iran-Contra ring any bells? Helloooooo, wtf is going on?This is our tax dollars
hard at work, hunh? Give me break.
The Central Intelligence Agency
has received approval at least twice in the last several years to conduct an
“information war” against several countries in the Middle East, including Iran,
Lebanon and Syria, according to current and former intelligence officials In
addition, the Bush Administration has been running operations out of the Defense
Department that are not subject to Congressional oversight, intelligence sources
say. These programs appear murkier, and have included support for an alleged
terrorist group in Iran.A recent ABC News report revealed that President George
W. Bush had signed a presidential finding giving the CIA the authority to
conduct “non-lethal” covert operations against Iran. Former and current
intelligence sources tell
RAW STORY,
however, that there have been “at least two” presidential findings over the past
few years which have empowered the agency to run an “open-secret” information
war against Iranian interests, mainly leveraging resources and assets “within
the United States and France.”
Fox analyst: 'Space aliens
kidnapped president' and 'left this tool'

When you see a
story like this on Fox News, it’s like hearingng The Twilight Zone theme
music in your head!!!
From
RAW STORY:
On Monday, Fox News covered Vladimir Putin's threat that if the US
government goes ahead with setting up a missile defense shield in Eastern
Europe, Russia will target its own missiles at European targets. The
discussion led to an unlikely reversal of political positions, with
conservative Fox political analyst Tammy Bruce describing the situation as
"another glaring example of the growing incompetency of the Bush
administration and his foreign policy," while Democratic strategist Bob
Beckel concluded that "I support Bush on this ... and it's a strange day
when I do that." Bruce began by defending Putin and asked how we in the US
would feel if Russian missiles were sited in Cuba or Honduras. She pointed
out that the US missiles in the Czech Republic and Poland are supposedly
intended to guard against the threat of potential Iranian long-range
missiles, even though those missiles don't yet exist and we've said we're
not going to allow Iran to develop them. She then blew up about immigration
and Iraq as well, saying, "I'm waiting to find the space aliens that
kidnapped the president that I grew to admire after September 11 and left
this tool behind. ... I'm furious."

guys have a lot to give, and the world is your audience. Keep working at it. The

Hi Brian, Hey, thanks for emailing us. Yeah, Ely is still around. He's just not

that much, but to us it is alot. We'd love any help you could throw our way
traffic wise. I agree with you about the dicey women pics. That's Marshes thing.
I'm going to have to have a talk with him about that. I've been thinking about
doing a pod cast as well. It's all about RSS marketing. We have really seen our

a very talented kid. Definately give him a call. He's kind of elusive. It can be
hard to get in touch with him sometimes. His mother does some of his managing.
Her name is Carol. You can reach her at *******. By the way, do you mind if I

Tens of Thousands Protest G8 Summit in Germany
Well, we were
unable to post yesterday due to schedule conflicts and family obligations. It
is now 8:45 in the A.M. and I am almost late to work. I wanted to relate one
story in the news, though. It is about the G8 summit in Germany, and the
protests happening there. Sounds as if US policy is not too popular in Europe
these days! Link to the full article
here
.
Tens of thousands of
protestors marched through this northeastern German port on Saturday to show
their opposition to next weeks G8 summit of the worlds wealthiest nations.
Organisers said they were expecting 100,000
people from anti-poverty and anti-globalisation groups to demonstrate in the
nearest city to the luxury coastal resort of Heiligendamm where the leaders
will gather from Wednesday.
But police said only 30,000 people were
taking part.

good dance number is there, just needs a little fine tuning. It combines
groove boogie and modal jazz flavors into a "sweet concoction" that will make
you "feel good". See you at Fiorinos next Saturday night. I want to thank
everyone who is keeping up with our bonnie exploits. The international

attention it just wouldnt be the same. Please comment or email us if you are

It is my pleasure to relate
to you the following account. Once a long time ago, I had a dream of living in a
community of conscious, enlightened people, doing what I love to do most,
playing music and living free!
Though I have tried to do just that as an adult, my past failures to perfect the
formula of success had left me exasperated at best. Sometimes it seemed as if
the cosmic cards were stacked against me. My best efforts to be a good person,
an ethical person, a humane individual who is compassionate of those around me
was often returned with scorn and criticism much of the time. Yet tirelessly I
arose anew each day with faith in myself and humankind. Please do not assume my
focus on the dire events in the world are any indication of my "take" on things
or that I am a pessimist. In fact, I truly believe we as a species are evolving
into a
galactic intelligence that will one
day spread the DNA of this beautiful biosphere to the corners of the universe.
It is always a concern as an artist that you will be misunderstood. I struggle
with it in more than art, though. Having a political perspective that is edgy
and a philosophical outlook unrecognised in one's culture can be a real
challenge. Expressing oneself to a mindset so unaccustomed to truth is also a
toil. I can't make anyone understand me, only do my best to be clear and
receptive myself.
It has come to my attention that we (1320) are being rejoined by none other
than Greg Eckels, our previous guitarist. I wish him a hardy hello and welcome
back! Laird will still be there doin' his thang and I think we will sound better
than ever. I want to apologise if any of the pictures of hot women offend
anybody, it is not my intention to do so. I just like to spice things up a bit.
I won't be posting buff guys
ever on this site so,
sorry ladies.
I would like
to thank everyone out there in the blogosphere from UK and Australia, Sweden and
Norway, lets not forget France, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Spain
and Russia; not to mention Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Turkey and so
many more! Thanks for your interest in what we do. Inner Rhythm Studios strives
to bring you the best in Royalty-Free Music, Acid and Garageband Loops, Hip Hop

Wednesday May 30, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Music Loops - Royalty Free
Music - Flash Loops - Guitar Loops - Hip-Hop Loops - Thats what it is all
about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. Good morning class. Today’s
topic is internet marketing 101. Mr. Marsh and I have been plugging away at this
thing for just over a month now. Here is where we stand as of this morning for a
few of our critical keywords on Google’s ranking: Garageband loops - #11, Music
Loops - #15, Guitar Loops - #4, Acid Loops - #13. These are all second page
search results (except for guitar loops). Inner Rhythm is getting ever closer to
the coveted first page. We won’t be satisfied until Inner Rhythm is #1, though.
Hopefully some of this will translate over into more sales. It has been really
slow the last few days. Buy something people!! My dream of ‘doing nothing’ – did
any of you guys see the movie ‘Office Space’? – must become a reality!! By the
way, for the keyword – Royalty-Free Music, we are still not even on the map! I’m
not sure why.
On the band tip, we had our
practice last night. We plowed through the entire set list. With breaks, it took
us 3 hours to play all of the songs. That’s good. We are now exactly 60 days
away from the Infineon show. We have 60 days to get this band into a lean, mean
jamming machine. We are almost there. Greg Eccles has decided to join us once
again as well. This will give us an extra hour or so of material. This is going
to be very interesting.
On the work-out tip, I had a very
constructive day yesterday. I ran 3 miles and worked out on my elliptical
trainer. Later in the afternoon, I used my free weights and worked chest for 40
minutes. Diet wise, I consumed around 2000 calories for the day. I would say
that was a success. One day at a time, they say. Today, I’ve got to get back on
that horse and ride. I plan on starting my cardio around 11am this morning. That
gives me 2 hours to work on whatever I need to before I workout. Have a good
day. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
Tuesday
May 29, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Music Loops - Royalty Free Music - Flash
Loops - Guitar Loops - Hip-Hop Loops - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm
Studios has a great selection. Well, today I am going to write about
self-discipline. I have been on a mission to lose weight and get my physical
vitality back. I would like to be in better shape for our concert coming up here
in July. I had 4 good days of exercise and healthy eating. Yesterday for some
unknown reason, I slipped up and ate pizza and drank beer and teqilla. Yep,
that's right. I had a day of total lazy, debauched drunkery. It's tough to
control one's impulses. You know, it really sucks getting older. I used to be
able to drink and eat what ever I wanted and I never gained that much weight.
Now that I'm 38, things really have an effect on me. I mean the foods I eat and
the beers I drink. Being a musician kind of comes with the 'I want to feel good
all of the time' kind of attitude. I need to curb that and really control these
impulses. I think one of the keys to success is getting back up when you fall
down. You can't let a mistake keep you down. So after I finish writing this, I'm
going to get on my eliptical trainer and get 'back to the mystery', if you know
what I mean. Wish me luck on my journey, people. I'm rooting for all of you as
well in whatever your struggles are. Keep the faith, I'm out.

GALLUP: Nearly 1 in 3 Believe Bible is Literal Word of God
About one-third of the American adult population believes the Bible is the actual word of God and is to be taken literally word for word, a new Gallup poll reveals. This percentage is only slightly lower than several decades ago.
Gallup reports that the majority of those "who don't believe that the Bible is literally true believe that it is the inspired word of God but that not everything it in should be taken literally." Finally, about one in five Americans believe the Bible is merely an ancient book of "fables, legends, history, and moral precepts recorded by man."
There is also a strong relationship between education and belief in a literal Bible, Gallup explains, with such belief becoming much less prevalent as schooling continues. Those who believe in the literal Bible amount to 31% of adult Americans. This is a decline of about 7% compared with Gallup polls taken in the 1970s and 1980s. It is strongest in the South.
Belief in the literal word of the Bible is strongest among those whose schooling stopped with high school and declines steadily with educational level, with only 20% of college graduates holding that view and 11% of those with an advanced degree.
Well, that explains everything!!!

Congress Passes War Funding Bill
This is the hard, cold reality of governance without a veto-proof majority. The Dems raised minimum wage and secured $20 billion for domestic programs, as well as set benchmarks for the Iraqi govt. receiving US aid money. Don't forget the hearings and investigations of corrupt and illegal actions, either. The attack ads were ready to blow all weekend long, depicting Dems as not supporting the troops on Memorial Day. They've only been in charge for a few months, anyway. Let's see what happens in the days to come.
Agence France-Presse
Published: Thursday May 24, 2007: Both houses of Congress on Thursday passed a $120 billion Iraq war budget, after Democrats reluctantly agreed to President George W. Bush's demands to strip it of troop withdrawal dates.
The Democrats had demanded troop withdrawal timetables for months, and included them in a 124 billion dollar budget vetoed by Bush earlier this month.
But they finally conceded to political reality, as despite controlling both chambers of Congress, they lack the two-thirds majority needed to block a presidential veto.

Bush Threatens Veto of Gas Gouging Bill
How is it that a
gallon of gas is at record prices, but the cost of a barrel of crude oil is
down? I know, it must be connected to those record profits oil companies are
making! A bill is up for a vote in Congress that would make price
gouging illegal.
Unfortunately, Bush has vowed
to veto it. I wonder why?
WASHINGTON (Dow Jones) -- "President Bush is likely to veto legislation that would create hefty fines and criminal penalties for gasoline price-gouging, the White House said Wednesday.
"The White House, in a formal statement of administration policy, said the legislation amounted to price controls that would hinder oil companies and retailers from responding to market signals, potentially worsening fuel shortages."

The latest prediction from NOAA is right in line with the rest of the global warming scenarios seemingly coming to pass. This story is courtesy of Reuters News Agency..
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The 2007 Atlantic hurricane season will be active with 13 to 17 named storms, seven to 10 of which are expected to become hurricanes, the U.S. government's top climate agency predicted on Tuesday.Of the seven to 10 hurricanes forecast, three to five will be major ones of Category 3 or higher with winds over 110 miles per hour, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said in its annual forecast.. For the rest of the story click

Oddly enough, A large group of religious leaders of the major faiths are urging the President to adopt a much more aggressive position on combating climate change. Citing a moral and spiritual crisis, the leaders of

Tuesday May 22, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Loops - Royalty Free Music - Flash Loops - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. Good morning people. I was just checking our Google ranking for the keyword "Royalty-Free Music". It looks like Inner Rhythm Studios is ranked #141 - ouch! We aren't even on the map! Oh well, hopefully our new marketing efforts will improve our position. I've been sitting here in front of this computer for 2 months trying to figure all of this out. It has been fun, but I need to take a break, go on vacation or something.
On the cover band tip, I talked to Smoov yesterday. He said that he wanted to join our project. He has told me this before, but then flakes. It's too bad because he could contribute alot to what we are doing. He has the vocal skills for harmonies and good rhythm for synth backups. It's just trying to fit everything into his busy schedule. I hope he makes up his mind quick style, because I got a call from an old keyboard playing friend of mine yesterday. His name is Keneth Roy. Ken has produced 4 CDs of his own music. Here is a link to his stuff - http://www.wireonfire.com/kennethroy/ - Anyway, Ken is going to come to our studio next Sunday and see if he digs the vibe. It would be so great to add keys to this project. Keyboards open a whole new dimension in what we as a cover band will be capable of pulling off. I personally would like to delve more into the R & B side of things. Get some dance funk going. I love classic and modern rock, but I also have a special place in my heart for bands like Earth, Wind, And Fire, The Gap Band, Kool and The Gang, old school groovin', you know what I mean? We need to do some rap stuff too. It's going to be awaesome! I'm out...

Diamonds are Forever
If you knew me well enough, you would expect me to
jump on this story. I have to summarize the situation myself, so bear with
me. Apparently early humans in North America, Asia and Europe were mostly
obliterated by a comet that exploded in the atmosphere approximately 12,900
years ago. Leading scientists believe large areas of icepack were melted by
the intense heat. In their model, ocean levels were suddenly increased as
most of the northern hemisphere was burned to a crisp by fireballs falling
from the sky.Early human legends relate a Great Flood or cataclysmic
situation that destroyed most of the plant and animal species known to the
primitive humans who survived. Please read the
full story here. I hope humankind is not so distracted by their
ploys to dominate one another that they miss the opportunity to prevent a
mass extinction from the heavens. It is our duty to preserve the world for
future
generations as best we can. I think near-earth object detection and a
planetary defense against them should be one of the most important "national
security" programs in all countries with the ability and technology to do so.

Saturday May 19, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Loops - Royalty Free Music - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. Ok, here is an update on our marketing efforts. As of today, Inner Rhythm Studios is ranked #25 on Google for the keyword, 'acid loops' and ranked #18 on Yahoo. Pretty good out of 2 million websites, but still - we need to be in the top 5 to stay in business. Staying in business is defined by Russell doing this full-time and not having to get a 'real job'. We also need to improve our rank for royalty free music as well. Inner Rhythm Studios ranks very low for that one. I am going to keep grinding away at this marketing stuff, though. Thursday May 17, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Loops - Royalty Free Music - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. Ok class, back to internet marketing 101. Chris and I are really enjoying writing for the blog everyday. It gives us a chance to connect with all of you and say what's on our mind. I think all of this is working very well with Google. Inner Rhythm Studios has advanced in page rank on Google from the third page of search results to the second page(for Acid Loops) but we are still at the bottom of the second page. It looks like we are improving! One peculiar thing, though. On Yahoo, we have dissappeared! I cant find us. We used to be on the second page in position 32, but now we are gone! Troubling....I need to research why Yahoo has dropped us. Maybe it's just a rotating thing and in a couple of days we will be back. I'll keep checking on a daily basis. Google is of course the main search engine, so our efforts are pretty much focused here.
On the music side of things, I've been considering producing a Harp loop CD. That would be kind of unique, don't you think? I know this lady who has been playing the Harp for years. I think Harp loops would be cool for flash design or any kind of production. Plus, I dont think there are that many Harp Loop CDs out there anyway. It might be a good seller. Yep, it sounds like I am talking myself into this. Keep an eye out for this collection.

Last night we all decided to scrap practice and chill out. We played 3-4 songs and left before 9 pm. Rocking out 4 days in a row is a bit exhausting. Stay tuned for new studio outtakes as soon as we can post them.

Well folks, let us
morn the passing of the Right(wing) Reverend Jerry Falwell at 73, leader of the
Moral Majority. This pugnacious, intolerant individual did a lot to propagate a
very socially destructive agenda since back in the Reagan days, helping to lay
the groundwork for the Neocon takeover of the Republican Party, resulting in the
horror that is the imbroglio in Iraq. There is a question of what will become of

Tuesday May 15, 2007 - Hello Everyone. My topic today is about religion. Perhaps it is because of the passing of Jerry Falwell (scourge of society). I was digging through some old emails that I wrote to a girlfriend of mine. This anonymous person is a Jehovah’s Witness and is tormented by guilt. I wrote her this letter a few years ago. I thought some of you might enjoy reading it, so here it is….
Dear *******,
Here are some examples of forgiveness: King David had a man killed because he wanted to have sex with his wife. God forgave him. Have you killed anyone for sex? Don't you believe that your sins pale in comparison to King David. How about Jesus? He forgave a prostitute of all of her sins. Have you screwed as many people as a prostitute? If Jesus forgave her, why wouldn't he forgive you? The bible says that Jesus died as a blood sacrifice to atone for mankind’s sins. Accept the gift that God gave you! You are already forgiven in his eyes. Stop walking around hating yourself! This is man's way, not God's! 10,000 elders could stand in front of me and tell me that I am condemned. Are they more important or carry more weight than the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who died so that my sins could be forgiven? I don't think so! Jesus was brutally butchered so that we can live free - so that we can have joy and happiness.
I know that the things that I am saying are considered heresy / apostasy. You must think about these things, though ****. I know that you don't like to think. You like to feel. This is why there is a national anthem! Music makes people feel. Many times, it is easy to control people thru feeling. No one stops to think, "hey what’s going on here?" when they are caught up in a feeling. You feel the closeness, the togetherness, the oneness of belonging to a group. It is comforting to be a part of something greater than yourself. This is how humans do things - tribes, villages, states, religions. There comes a time in life when we must think about things, or else we will just go with what is easiest - what everyone else is doing - what we have always been told to do. That is not searching for the truth. That is conforming to the social norm. What can be wrong with questioning? If the truth is the truth then it holds up to scrutiny, right? That’s what makes it the truth. We must ask ourselves a fundamental question: does God want us to walk around feeling guilty all of the time, afraid that we are going to perish at Armageddon? This is control by fear. Using the emotion/feeling of psychological fear to manipulate the mind. Does God need to manipulate thru fear? No! God is love remember? The fruits of the spirit are Love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, faith, long suffering. I am a father. I want my children to have JOY!! Isn't God more loving and understanding than me? How much more does he want you to feel Joy?
I am afraid to send this email to you. I am afraid because I know what these words represent. Your wonderful father and brother, how could they be wrong? Rusty has no right to say these things!! Who does he think he is anyway? Maybe they weren't wrong. Everyone must find his or her own path. They walked their paths with dignity and honor. You are always trying to please everyone else, *** - your family, the congregation. You are a spirited, bright soul, ****. This is how God made you. It is difficult for you to follow in their footsteps. You are going against your natural flow. You try and try, but there is a yearning, a longing that goes unfulfilled. You read the publications, you study and attend 5 meetings a week, but something is still restless inside of you. It is not this way for everyone! The path that you walk is easier for some because it fits their disposition. Jesus said that he was the end of the Law. He said that the law would now be written in the hearts of men/women. How many publications and books do we need to serve God? You shine like the sun, ****. Your light is beginning to break through the illusion that you have found yourself in. You may brush these words off now as irrelevant, but eventually you will come to understand. It really all comes down to love or fear. Which is the stronger? Shall we live for the illuminating inspiration of Love, or shall we cringe in fear at the thought of death and destruction? How do you think Jesus would answer? He would tell us to have FAITH in his sacrifice. He would tell us that he died so that we could have joy and peace. He did not die so that we could hate ourselves! This is the GOOD NEWS!
I love you more than life itself ******. I always have and I always will. I would gladly, without hesitation die for you! I would walk through the fires of illusion and darkness just to be by your side. I would travel to the ends of the Earth to find you if you were lost. If you hate me and fear me because of the things I have said, then I will go away from you. I don't want to, though.

Sunday May 13, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Loops - Royalty Free Music - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. I've got to be a little crazy posting all of these practice sessions on our blog, but at least many of you can see the honest work that goes behind making a cover song sound decent in public. The perfection that you witness when you see bands play cover songs proficiently, is the result of many screw-ups and mistakes. What I find intriguing about playing in a live music project is the honesty. There are times when everything sounds terrible! But there are times when it all comes together and it's for real. Genuine experiences are hard to come by these days. People have so many masks that they wear. It's like you have to be comfortable with yourself through all of the mistakes to get to the good stuff. You cant be afraid to look like a fool. When you are on the ground there is only one place to go and that is up. Someone once said, "Success is moving from one failure to the next with enthusiasm..."With all of that being said, here are last nights jams in all of their raw beauty. I hope all of you enjoy the studio talk, humor, sour notes, and of course the music. Here are the Jams:
SPACE JAM(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - here is a strange exploration into the upper realms of the soul. It was all based off of Laird's synth guitar. This jam has it's problems, but you gotta check out about midway through. We went into the GREAT BEYOND.... You know how life can get to where you just feel trapped sometimes or pint up, closed off? The beautiful thing about music is how you can climb into it and let it take your soul to a better place. To ride the wings of melody to impossible realms that only exist in imagination. Yeah.....
WISH YOU WERE HERE HUMOR VERSION(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Dude, that was messed...HAHAHA - if you are easily offended, dont listen to this. If you enjoy crude humor, then this will crack you up!!!
PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) You know how this one goes, we just forgot the lyrics.
BROWN EYED GIRL(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Pretty nice version of this song.
JAZZ JAM(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Carl explores Marsh's walking jazz bass line...
CINNAMON GIRL(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Trying to get this one dialed...
LIGHT MY FIRE(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - The Doors would be proud...
SAD DAY - LAIRD RULES!!(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Laird shreds some cool solos and Carl cracks a few really good jokes...
SOLO FEELS GOOD(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Russell solos for days....

Saturday May 12, 2007 - Garageband Loops - Acid Loops - Royalty Free Music - Thats what it is all about!! Inner Rhythm Studios has a great selection. Ok, here are the recordings from last nights jam practice. I am actually fairly proud to publish these on our blog because the songs are finally starting to sound kind of good. We had a revelation the last couple of days. It's all about the new ear monitoring system that we now have in place on our PA. All 4 of us have 'ear buds' that are plugged into a headphone amplifier that is connected to the PA headphone jack. We can hear each other finally!! After years of playing live music, I now understand how important it is to have a system like we have now. If you ever watch SNL when the live bands play, they always have a small, almost unnoticable thing in their ear that looks like a hearing aid. Thats because when you are playing with live drums, loud guitars, booming basses, you need to have that monitor up close and personal. The human voice just cant compete with so many of these amplification devices. That being said, our cover band is on it's way to sounding really good!! Here are the jams from last night:
JEALOUSY(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - This one turned out great!!
JUMPIN' JACK FLASH(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - I love this song!!
SEMI-CHARMED LIFE(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Pretty good, dontcha' think?
WHAT HURTS THE MOST(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - I love this song!!
KNOCKIN' ON HEAVENS DOOR(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Beautiful....
LEARN TO FLY(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - Learn to sing is more like it...
SWEET EMOTION(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MP3) - OK, I know it still needs work, but we are getting closer. It's really hard to dial in that harmony in the beginning.
FOUND OUT ABOUT YOU(CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD) - This version sounds great!!
I hope you guys enjoy this post, oh yeah - and BUY SOMETHING!!!

Fires raging on holiday island Santa Catalina off California coast
dpa German Press Agency
Published: Friday May 11, 2007
Washington- Fires were on Friday spreading across the popular tourist destination of Santa Catalina Island off the southern Californian coast, reports said. Hundreds of firefighters tried to stop the flames from reaching the city of Avalon. More than 1,000 houses were evacuated when the fire approached the suburbs. A number of buildings were destroyed by the flames, and several thousand people left the island overnight via ferry.
The fire was so severe that it was raining ashes, the television channel CNN reported.
The fire broke out Thursday and spread with enormous speed across the dry scrubland on the island, some 35 kilometres off the coast.
Luckily, the weather calmed during the night from Thursday to Friday, facilitating the firefighters' work.
Meanwhile on the east coast in Florida, bush fires of varying sizes broke out in more than 200 locations. The flames came so close to the Interstate 10 motorway, an east-west link, that it was threatened by closure.

One of the articles that I published is approved and will be going into global syndication in the next couple of days. This is good news for Inner Rhythm Studios. I also realeased a news feed on a website called 'Digital Media Online, INC.'. They have a free news service where you can submit an article and they will feed the newswire all around the world. So it should be interesting hearing from him, hopefully soon. SO GET BUSY BROHAM!! Other than that, all you bitches reading this - rock on!!
Friday May 11, 2007 - Okay class, today’s topic is C-Smoov, a liitle bit amount myself. I am a native of the great city by the bay, the city that rocks, the city that never stops, the fog city, home of the Avenue Crew, San Francisco . I love the city and that is where I came to have the many flavors of the world embedded in my being. However, it wasn’t until I left my home that I really found myself, found my musical self, and became the person I am today. I now reside in the North Bay and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. There is so much room here to be free, to be your true self, it’s just amazing. It is here that I linked up with one of the most dynamic, influential, talented people I am sure that I will ever have the pleasure of calling one of my very best friend’s, Jonathan Jones-J.J.-J1, and the universe so clearly revealed to us our purpose for coming together. Producing music!! J and I, initially, along with a couple of our friends formed the group Pleasure Point. We recorder an album in San Rafael at Laughing Tiger Studios and began performing locally to support the release. That lasted about a year and fell apart due to life changes with the members of the band, as is pretty common with these kinds of projects. J and I continued on with a new project, M.L.V.-Major League Vocalists. This time there were only three of us, basically the core members of the previous project. M.L.V. widdled down to just J and I eventually and we are still doin’ it y’all, check out the albums on cdbaby.com, please enjoy. Alright people, I have to go for now, but we will speak again soon, and thanks again for indulging the mind of Smoov, peace be with you………..

And lastly, here is a news story you may want to check out. Speaking of checking out, ciao yo!
NASA study suggests extreme summer warming in the future
A new study by NASA scientists suggests that greenhouse-gas warming may raise average summer temperatures in the eastern United States nearly 10 degrees Fahrenheit by the 2080s.
"There is the potential for extremely hot summertime temperatures in the future, especially during summers with less-than-average frequent rainfall," said lead author Barry Lynn of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Columbia University, New York.
The research found that eastern U.S. summer daily high temperatures that currently average in the low-to-mid-80s (degrees Fahrenheit) will most likely soar into the low-to-mid-90s during typical summers by the 2080s. In extreme seasons – when precipitation falls infrequently – July and August daily high temperatures could average between 100 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit in cities such as Chicago, Washington, and Atlanta.
To reach their conclusions, the researchers analyzed nearly 30 years of observational temperature and precipitation data and also used computer model simulations that considered soil, atmospheric, and oceanic conditions and projected changes in greenhouse gases. The simulations were produced using a widely-used weather prediction model coupled to a global model developed by NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
The global model, one of the models used in the recently issued climate report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), was utilized in this study to identify future changes in large-scale atmospheric circulation patterns due to the build up of greenhouse gases. This information was then fed into the weather prediction model to forecast summer-to-summer temperature variability in the eastern United States during the 2080s.
The weather model showed that extreme summertime surface temperatures developed when carbon dioxide emissions were assumed to continue to increase about two percent a year, the "business as usual" scenario. These findings are too recent to be included in the latest IPCC report.
The weather prediction model used in this research is advantageous because it assesses details about future climate at a smaller geographic scale than global models, providing reliable simulations not only on the amounts of summer precipitation, but also on its frequency and timing. This is an important capability for predicting summer temperatures because observed daily temperatures are usually higher on rainless days and when precipitation falls less frequently than normal.
Observational climate data also showed that sea surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean have a significant influence on summer air temperatures in the eastern U.S.
"Relatively cool waters in the eastern Pacific often result in stubborn summer high-pressure systems over the eastern states that block storms, reducing the frequency of precipitation below normal,” noted study co-author Richard Healy of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, Mass. "Less frequent storms result in higher surface and atmospheric temperatures that then feedback on the atmospheric circulation to further reduce storm frequency and raise surface temperatures even more."
The global model simulated rainfall too frequently, so that its surface temperatures were not appropriately sensitive to interannual changes in Pacific sea surface temperatures. "Since the weather prediction model simulated the frequency and timing of summer precipitation more reliably than the global model, its daily high temperature predictions for the future are also believed to be more accurate,” added co-author Leonard Druyan, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Columbia University.
In comparison, the researchers say that a number of the global models used in previous studies of future climate change predict too frequent precipitation that often falls too early in the day. As a result, they tend to underestimate the amount of future warming by reflecting solar radiation back to space before it can warm the surface and by simulating excessive evaporation from the wet ground.
To the authors' knowledge, this is the first study that has documented the impact of precipitation simulation imperfections on model predictions of surface air temperature. "Using high-resolution weather prediction models, we were able to show how greenhouse gases enhance feedbacks between precipitation, radiation, and atmospheric circulations that will likely lead to extreme temperatures in our not so distant future," said Lynn.

The study is published in the April 2007 issue of the American Meteorological Society's Journal of Climate.

Our practice session was good last night. We tried out a new idea for improving our PA monitor signals and it worked great! The ability to clearly hear everyone's vocal signal really helps everything in the mix sound better. We also focused on some problem areas in a few of the songs and made a lot of headway . Over all the project is moving along nicely towards the "Great Gig in the Sky."
Another shout out to Russell for the Ezine article he authored and posted yesterday. Very well done young Trabbing!
Here is a noteworthy news story I'd like to share. If true, it would be a major ball-buster
Cheney "X'd" off the DC Madam's list by ABC/Disney
May 8, 2007 -- Cheney on DC Madam's list.
Yesterday, WMR reported on the DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey's list: "WMR has been informed that the CEO of a major corporation is a former CEO but, nonetheless, the aforementioned extremely high-level official of the Bush administration. The individual, who is definitely "newsworthy," reportedly engaged the services of Palfrey's escort firm while he was the CEO and maintained a residence off Chain Bridge Road in the Ballantrae neighborhood in McLean, Virginia, a few blocks from the headquarters of the CIA."
WMR has confirmed with extremely knowledgeable CIA and Pentagon sources that the former CEO who is on Deborah Jeane Palfrey's list is Vice President Dick Cheney. Cheney was CEO of Halliburton during the time of his liaisons with the Pamela Martin & Associates escort firm. Palfrey's phone invoices extend back to 1996 and include calls to and from Cheney. Ironically, in 2000 Cheney was appointed by Bush to head his Vice President selection committee, a task that enabled Cheney to gather detailed personal files on a number of potential candidates, including Bill Frist, George Pataki, John Danforth, Fred Thompson, Chuck Hagel, John Kasich, Chris Cox, Frank Keating, Tom Ridge, Colin Powell, and Jim Gilmore, before he selected himself as the vice presidential candidate.
The White House saw to it that ABC/Disney killed the DC Madam's story before yet another scandal swamped the Bush administration. Cheney is departing Washington today for a trip to the Middle East, where he will visit the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and
the USS John C. Stennis in the Gulf.

How's the world for you today? It's cooler and sunny, very nice in the North Bay. The band is jammin' tonight and it should be a rocking old time. Last night we learned Jealousy by the Gin Blossoms and worked on several new additions to the set list. I hope we gig soon, because we need to stay hot for the NHRA show in July. Stay tuned for more info.
There is a little bit of history surrounding the Inner Rhythm logo. I created the Inner Rhythm logo when Russell and I had an original band project by the same name. We called our old studio "Inner Rhythm Studios" and have continued to use it for the current enterprise.Today I remastered the logo for the blog. It's was inspired by the Yin Yang (not the twins) and acid. Have a great day and ciao for now......
Tuesday May 8, 2007 - Online musical artists today have amazing opportunities never before realized. With the dawn of high speed Internet, audio applications employed across a wide spectrum present new possibilities for the musically inclined. Music is everywhere and the compensation for independent artists continues to grow.
Online commercial music is everywhere! New and innovative audio applications include background music for Podcasts, Flash developers, Backing tracks for video, Independent Films, Documentaries, Narratives, Animation Sequencing, Television/Radio - just to name a few. This broad market has opened due to the fact that copyright law prohibits the use of licensed music without the collection of royalties by traditional non-profit organizations such as ASCAP & BMI. Unsigned and unknown artists now have the opportunity to bring their music right to the end user, thereby bypassing the corporate entertainment machine. No longer do the CEO's decide what will be heard. Musicians today can utilize the Internet to bring fresh new products to a fertile market. This brave new world is a win-win for artists as well as music supervisors, project managers, and small companies seeking audio content on a budget. Traditionally, companies requiring audio content would be required to go through conventional means, many times paying $1000's to use small portions of audio. Today, there is a host of websites available that sell Royalty-Free Music for a one-time fee. Project managers can purchase Royalty-Free Music by the track or opt to obtain entire audio collections for a modest fee. Typically, fees range from $10-$20 per track or perhaps $50-$75 for albums.
One great company to check out is http://www.innerrhythmstudios.com/ - Inner Rhythm Studios is a collective of artists that boasts a wide range of musical genres and styles. They sell Royalty-Free Music and music loops for programs like Sony Acid and Apple Garageband. Serving the online community since 2003, they have a very talented staff of musicians. Another great benefit of purchasing music online is the fact that most content is now available as a digital download! Inner Rhythm Studios allows visitors to listen to the collections before they buy. Once a collection is chosen, payment is processed through Paypal and the download begins. Instant content delivered in CD quality!
Here are a couple of things that you want to keep in mind when shopping for Royalty-Free Music online:
1.) How do the samples for the track that you are interested in sound? Today, it is possible to produce very high quality MP3's for online review. If the samples sound low quality, then beware. There are some pretty shabby sites out there trying to pawn off substandard content. Let your ear make the decision.
2.) Make sure that contact information is easily available just in case you need technical support. Problems can occur when downloading and it is convenient to have an immediate response if trouble occurs.
3.) Know the format that you need. Online audio content is available in a variety of formats. From MP3 to .wav, Apple AIFF, or standard CD format - make sure that you communicate your needs to your online music provider.
4.) Check out their blog! Many commercial music sites today have interesting facts about their artists, the music, and the latest studio happenings.
5.) Read the license! All royalty-free music should come with a 'read me' file or a license agreement. Royalty-Free Music can be used in any project, but cannot be resold as music by itself. The content must be used in some sort of production. Most companies require an additional license for projects that sell in excess of 5000 units. Read the fine print!
6.) Join royalty-free music forums or sign up for a newsletter. If you work with audio on a consistent basis, it's always nice to know what is new. Newsletters and forums can provide project managers with up-to-date libraries fresh out of production.
7.) Keep it real! There are some ancient collections out there! Make sure that what you are buying was'nt produced in 1987!
So there you have it! Remember, it's all about the music!

Alright alright, here we go, this won’t be easy as there is no music and I speak highly with rhythm so bear with me. First off I want to say what’s up to all the people, it’s all about the people. Let’s never forget to relate to one another, we are here for each other, so let’s be here for each other!! We have control of only one thing in this world, ourselves. So, in your time of existence, practice peace, love and speaking the truth. There is very little else that really matters. Man this is a lot deeper than I planned, but then I didn’t plan, and I never even introduced myself. I am C Smoov, the Dynomite child, O.G., Breakdancin’, Lovin’ Life, Rappin’, Singin’, Producin’ Tracks to get the Body Rockin’ and Praising God all the while, funky fresh in the flesh and here for your enjoyment. I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to write my mind and would like to thank The Brew Man for birthing Inner Rhythm Studios and patiently nurturing and parenting it for many years now. It is a labor of love and I pray that you never stop. That’s all for now, life beckons, but I thank you for indulging in the mind of Smoov, peace be with you.

Sunday May 6, 2007 - Good morning people. Got up this morning and started working on a banner advertisement for Inner Rhythm Studios. I have been talking to this guy who runs the website www.icompositions.com . They are a forum for Apple Garageband users. For a very resonable fee, they placed our banner ad on their site. See below pics for some of my designs. Unfortunately, he didn't go for the HOT! banners, just the more conservative one. I thought the other one was tasteful and sexy, but I guess Lee over at icompositions thought it was a little raunchy. It's his website, so whatever. Other than that, I am hanging with my kids today and getting ready for our practice jam tonight. We need to work on a Santana song or something. Hot Latin rhythms would be a nice addition to our show. I will do some research today on that. Happy producing...Speaking of producing......SMOOV, WHERE YOU AT????
Saturday May 5, 2007 - Today I would like to talk about children. God, I love kids! I was making the beds this morning and my 5 year old son wanted to lay under the blankets as I was trying to make the bed. You know how you get that parachute effect when you are trying to make the bed. I remember when I was a kid, I used to love to do the same thing. Life is really about all of the simple things. It's like we get so used to living, that we forget about how great life can be. You know, one of my dreams is to own one of those huge $100k touring busses with the slide out sides, and cruise around the country - playing music and hanging with my kids. That would be so great! We are all so busy trying to survive that by the time we get enough money to do these things, our kids are grown and we are too old to really enjoy it. I need to make a lot of money fast - come on website!!! Well, those are my thoughts for today. Peace go with you, my friends...

It's MUFF diving time again!!! The epicenter for your daily installment of inspired imaginings, insipid insight and innate intelligence.
OK It's Saturday, so I hope you have recovered from whatever you did last night and are ready to party, because you know it's going to be nuts out there. 1320 isn't playing this weekend, but stay tuned for updates. This entry is going to be a bit short today, so here is some thing for you to laugh at. This is the first in a series of political, humorous art entitled "got diplomacy?". I hope you like it!

Hello MUFF Divers! It's time once again for your daily installment of inspired imaginings, insipid insight and innate intelligence.
So here is a juicy bit of gossip; it is rumored 1320 may be playing TWO shows this month! I will keep you all posted as to the places, dates and times. If you are local to the Bay Area, please come to our shows and support us in our mission to rock.
Yesterday I promised some fun stuff for you, so here is the first image in a series of original spiritual art created by my alter-ego Swami Kameshvarananda. Entitled: The Buddha In Meditative Repose, the image reflects the deep serenity of finding inner peace amidst the chaos of the world around us. I hope you like it.
Welcome to our Political Awareness Column. This is a public service rendered in an attempt to help spread awareness of the challenges we collectively face, from global warming to preemptive war, and the policies and people behind them. Please check out these links!!!

Well, that is all I got for now......ciao
Thursday May 3, 2007 - WAZZUP EVERYBODY!!!!!

( yeah.... that would technically be MUFF diving, hunh.)
It's MUFF diving time!!
Well, last week's show was a real hoot, and the recording posted right here at our blog came out very nice, I must say. Let me begin with a self introduction. I am Chris Marsh a.k.a. Kamesh, a.k.a. Meshers, a.k.a. Marsh and I am the Bassist, Flutist, Keyboardist and back-up Vocalist for 1320, our rocking cover band. I have been with Inner Rhythm Studios since the beginning, in the shadows, behind the scenes so to speak. Russell and I go waaaaay back to another place and time. Yes, the mythical land of Tennessee, nestled in the Smokey Mountains is our ancestral homeland. We have traveled many many miles, many years on the path to musical enlightenment. I will have more on the history of Inner Rhythm tomorrow and other content in the form of links and cool images for you to check out.
One question to anyone out there: How can we help stop this horrible war that is killing so many and ruining our place in history and the world?
Wednesday May 2, 2007 - Good morning everyone. Well, we had our band practice last night. This was the first practice since our show last Saturday night. As it turns out, the band made amost $300.00 to go toward our studio rent. Another friend of ours gave us $140 so that almost paid our bill for the month. We have a really nice practice spot that runs the band about $500 a month to maintain. It's a great space because there are no other bands around that we have to share it with and we can leave all of our equipment set up. It has a security system and is around 800 square feet. See pictures below....We worked on a few new songs. We did 'Jumpin Jack Flash', I also want to do that song 'Butterfly' by Crazytown. We need more material for our big show in July. We are playing at the Infineon Raceway for the drag races this summer. Should be fun.
Tuesday May 1, 2007 - OK. Eric called me today from RSS Aplied. He is one of those marketing gurus that keeps telling me how awesome all of this blogging is for my website. I believe him!! I just can't afford him. Maybe when the business gets off of the ground I will be able to give him a call. He also told me about this other website called articleunderground.com. He was saying that I should check them out. Join up and write articles for them. It looks like I am going to have to be writer for a while. Hey, I'm supposed to be playin music!! Whatever it takes, right? Ok, Im going to keep this short today. Shout out to all my bros out there and all yall who keep reading this. I promoise to write some interesting stuff here pretty soon. I'm in a hurry today, though. Love yall!
Monday April 30, 2007 - It's 7:40am here west coast California time. Just trying to wake up and have a cup of coffee. I had a dream last night about an old girlfriend of mine. Makes me miss the way girls used to be. Whatever happened to getting to know someone, becoming friends and taking it slow? I guess modern living these days doesnt promote love that much anymore. The best sex that I ever had was with a partner that I had feelings for, not someone that I barely knew. Maybe I'm just getting old. Maybe I'm like my father, old fashioned. I dont remember feeling this way in my 20's. Well, so much for blogging for loops and samples, huh? HA! I'll be back at it this morning trying to figure a way to get more exposure to the website. I really dont want to have to go back to work in the 'real world'. I like it just fine doing music all of the time.
Our cover band, '1320' is the name I found out, need to play another show. We have these two hot girls that always dance at our studio and hopefully will come to the all of our shows. They are 'The Nitro Girls'! Great dancers. They really get us going when we play. Hope and Mellissa, if you are reading this,......WAZ' UP BABY??!!! I need to put some pics up here on this blog. I'll check with the Nitro Girls to see if either of them took pics with their phones the other night. Peace!
Sunday, April 29, 2007 - OK, so our cover band played last night. Pretty decent crowd showed up. We had maybe 50-60 people in a tiny little place called "Fiorinos". It was interesting setting up all of the equipment and seeing if we could actually make it all work right. We did. One of the things that was so cool was my wireless guitar system. I got to walk out in the crowd alot and play solos. If any of you have used any of my loop CDs, Shredder's Delite or The Air Guitarist's Companion, then you know a little bit about my style. Anyway, I'm just sitting here this morning listen to the recording. I also set up a simple open mike recording last night. I recorded the whole show! It's cool listening to it. We got so high last night. Got to give a shout out to my brother Mark - WAZ' UP?!!!
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE ENTIRE SHOW There were so many hotties grinding away on the dance floor last night. There was this one Asian chick, damn I wish she would have been there when the show was over, but she had a paranoid boyfriend with her, so I could'nt give her too much juice, you know what I'm sayin? One of these days Im actually going to write about something relevant in this blog....or maybe not. I'm just going to keep writing here everyday, though. Peace!
Saturday April, 28 2007 - Well, Im still working on our blog & RSS feeds. I would love to write some article about royalty free music, Acid loops, or Garageband loops, but it seems like at this point no one is going to see my blog. For some reason, my articles arent being picked up by Google or Yahoo. I'll be doing what I'm always doing today, sitting here on my computer researching this stuff. I wish that I could just get it going and concentrate on the content of this blog. My plan is to release mixing tips, have some of Inner Rhythm Studios artists write some stuff. It could be interesting, you know?
Tonight me and my buddies are playing our first gig. I joined this cover band back in January of this year. It should be pretty fun. The bar is a little hole in the wall dive here in Santa Rosa, CA. We play classic to modern rock, a little rap & R&B, and a little country for the rednecks.
Smoov has been working on a solo project in Sebastopol. I havent really heard any of it, but I'm sure it sounds great.
Friday April, 27 2007 - Yo Waz Up? This is Inner Rhythm's first Blog - hopefully many more to come. We gotta get out there and create more visibility on the web. Smoov and I have been tryin' to figure out how to bring this huge archive of music to more folks out there. Considering we are working on the proverbial shoestring budget, it makes it pretty tough. We appreciate all you guys who keep buying our stuff, though. Been reading alot about blogging. I found a company who wants us to give them $1500 to help our search results in Google and Yahoo. It's all about the webmarketing thing you know - RSS and all that. We figured that we would just try to do it ourselves. So we are going to be comin at you with this daily log to keep ya'll up to date on the latest studio happenings.
